In this project for Gr. 3 & 4, students do a series of observation drawings in marker on manilla paper. I talk to them and demonstrate options in composition. Filling the page, part of the lesson is to add flowers, vines, and leaves, in layers, so that there is a sense of shallow depth to the image.
